Hoi An Motorbike Rental (Go inside city)
Detail
Hoi An City Motorbike Rental
If your travel plans are limited to Hoi An and the surrounding area, our Hoi An City Motorbike Rental offers excellent value at a lower price.
Instead of charging the same rate for every rental, we have created separate rental categories for city riding and long-distance travel. This allows guests who only need a motorbike for local transportation to enjoy a more affordable rate without paying for services they don’t require.
This rental option is designed for riding within a 15 km radius of Hoi An Ancient Town (measured from the Japanese Covered Bridge). A map showing the permitted riding area is provided below.
By choosing the City Rental option, you’ll enjoy a budget-friendly way to explore Hoi An’s beaches, rice fields, cafés, restaurants, and local attractions while paying only for the level of service you actually need.
This map shows the area you can explore with our Hoi An City Rental service.

First of all, don’t panic.
Motorbike theft in Hoi An is actually very rare. However, we often receive messages from customers saying they can’t find their bike. The good news is that most of these cases are solved quickly, and the bike hasn’t been stolen.
The most common reasons are:
1. You simply forgot where you parked.
This is by far the most common situation.
To help prevent this, almost all of our motorcycles are equipped with GPS trackers. If you can’t find your bike, contact us immediately. The sooner you let us know, the easier it is for us to locate it.
2. Your motorbike was moved by the Hoi An Old Town management.
This happens quite often.
Hoi An Ancient Town has expanded its pedestrian-only zone. During pedestrian hours, motorcycles are not allowed to enter or park on the streets inside the Old Town.
Pedestrian hours are:
- 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
If you parked your bike inside the Old Town before these hours began, or somehow entered before the streets were closed, the Old Town management may move your motorbike to a nearby parking area.
If this happens, you can:
- Ask the staff at one of the pedestrian checkpoints where motorcycles are stopped from entering.
- Tell them your license plate number, show them a photo of the bike (if you have one), or explain where you parked it.
- They will usually help you locate the motorcycle.
Please note that you may need to pay a small parking or moving fee.
You should also contact us—we can help locate the bike using its GPS.
What if the motorbike has actually been stolen?
Although this is extremely uncommon in Hoi An, it can happen.
We will first try to locate the motorcycle using its GPS tracker (if it is still functioning). If we cannot recover it that way, we will accompany you to report the theft to the local police and assist with the investigation.
You will need to cooperate with us while waiting for the investigation to proceed.
Unfortunately, if a stolen motorcycle cannot be recovered, the situation will be handled according to the rental agreement signed before the rental began.
